Sitemap & SEO Guidelines

Sitemap Overview

The system has a master sitemap index and three specialized sitemaps for the Gadget platform.

1. Master Sitemap Index

URL: /sitemap.xml

This is the primary sitemap that you should submit to Google Search Console. It automatically links to all other child sitemaps.

2. Product Sitemap

URL: /gadget/sitemap-products.xml

Contains all published gadget products.

3. Image Sitemap

URL: /gadget/sitemap-images.xml

Generates Google Image Schema tags for product thumbnails and gallery images, utilizing the CDN url automatically.

4. Article Sitemap

URL: /gadget/sitemap-articles.xml

Links to products containing detailed descriptions/articles, appending #article to uniquely index textual content.

Updating Sitemaps

Sitemaps are generated dynamically. No cron job is required for generation. Whenever a product is added or updated, the sitemaps will reflect the changes automatically.
